Cheltenham Micro-wedding | Steph and James
2023 was definitely the year of the micro-wedding and I’m all here for it! Many couples are opting to go against the traditional large wedding and all the bells and whistles that come with them. Instead, many are opting to go for something more laid back and intimate with only the closest of friends and family attending the small wedding. With this in mind, Steph and James opted for my hour-by-hour wedding package which suited their needs perfectly!
Gloucester Registry Office Wedding
Steph got in touch a couple of months before the big day to explain that she wanted to get married at Gloucester Registry Office so her grandparents, who live near by, were able to attend. Family really meant everything to this pair and we were able to capture some incredibly special moments with her grandparents.
The ceremony at Gloucester Town Hall, featured some really memorable moments. Steph arriving in a porsche, their son earning himself a round of applause after his outstanding role as ring bearer and an impressive race between two of Steph’s grandparents on exiting the ceremony! The stone steps of Gloucester Town Hall were the perfect spot for some group family photos before we took the short walk to the Cathedral for a few more family photos.
No 131, Cheltenham Wedding Photography
Following the ceremony and a short drive, the hotel and restaurant of No 131, Cheltenham hosted the intimate wedding breakfast for Steph and James. Despite it being a smaller wedding, we were still able to capture lots of couples photos. The hotel has incredible style with so many spots both outside and inside which are ideal for these type of photographs. After nipping outside to make the most of the beautiful Georgian architecture of the streets surrounding the hotel, we headed back in and found a stunning staircase and a light-filled bar area. We brought the couple’s photos to a close the not-so-traditional way….shots!
Despite only being there for a few hours, I love that we managed to pack so much into this incredible wedding and give Steph and James some wonderful memories to look back on.
